Our Kiwanis club worked with the West Bend Friends of Parks and Recreation along with the City of West Bend to raise funds for for an urban fishing pond at Regner Park.

Our Kiwanis club supports K-Kids which is the largest service organization for elementary school students, with more than 1,200 clubs worldwide. Club members discover their passion to serve, desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others. Our K-Kids meet at Silverbrook Intermediate School.
Kiwanis Family Night at The Library
On May 16th get ready for a musical extravaganza like no other at the library! Join musician Christian Strutz and his hilariously quirky alter ego, Wesley Waffles, for an unforgettable performance!
Once a month during the school year, usually on the 3rd Thursday, the West Bend Early Risers sponsor Family Night at the Library. The program starts at 6:30pm and lasts about 45 minutes. Click on the link below for the upcoming schedule.
A brief description of our Fishing Clinic from our Committee Chair, Mike Sarg: Rainbow trout are planted by the WDNR, along with pan fish from the West Bend Parks department. We gave a nylon drawstring bag stuffed with fishing goodies to every kid and more than 60 raffle prizes which were mostly new rods and reels. Every kid got a free hotdog plate, fish crackers, hot chocolate and water…and hot coffee for the parents. . Our reason for this community event is to get kids away from electronics, and get outdoors, to enjoy nature and our local parks, with family…kids that have a hobby, like fishing, don’t get into as much trouble. Another reason I started this program is to get new generations of fisher people excited about something my Dad taught me at a very early age, and I continue to enjoy today. Fishing is much more than catching fish, it teaches kids to be patient, to love nature, and it creates lasting memories of families enjoying the outdoors.
